This course focuses on the literary skills needed to understand and appreciate the various genre of literature. The vocabulary study in this course is built upon the study of word origins and classical roots. The grammatical concepts reviewed in this course will be centered on the development of extensive writing skill. A portion of the class content will be devoted to preparation for College board testing. Writing assignments will include personal essay, narratives, persuasive essay, and research writing, to include a research paper.
