Frequently Asked Questions

WCS offers a solid college prep curriculum with a Biblical worldview emphasis. Students graduate from WCS with the ability to succeed in life beyond our walls – trained for Christian leadership. Our students know they are loved and prayed-for by their teachers and administration.

Our school is considered a Christian school because of our doctrinal belief that Jesus is the one true Son of God, and we believe that faith in Him is necessary for forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Heaven. While we have supporting churches, we are not affiliated with any one church or religious denomination. We seek to partner with parents and churches to educate children from a Biblical worldview to impact their world for Christ.

Our typical class size ranges from 20-23 students in one class. Elementary grades have 3 classes per grade, so this number is fairly standard. Once a student enters middle and high school, class size can vary more, depending on the course.

We use Chromebooks in our classrooms to access educational games, e-books, Google Classroom, and the Google suite. Our high school is 1:1 with Chromebooks, meaning every student is assigned a Chromebook that they use at school and home throughout high school. All school-managed Chromebooks are monitored using the GoGuardian platform.

Each classroom on our campus is equipped with either a Mimeo smart board or a Boxlight interactive flat-panel display.

We offer eleven sports for our middle and high school students to participate-in, including football, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, track, cross country, swimming, golf and cheerleading. Approximately 85% of our high school students participate in at least one sport during the school year. The bonds created between students on our sports teams are a special part of campus life at WCS.

We offer a robust, yet growing, fine arts program. We emphasize the value of using our talents to worship the Lord through our art, and participation in fine arts class opportunities is required. Music and arts education begins in kindergarten with weekly special classes and can continue into middle and high school, through electives and extracurricular opportunities.
